Abstract

|
As etiology of depression, ambivalence, unmastered aggression and retro flexion of rage in ego psychology, failure to establish & to maintain positive ego identifications based on good object relations in object relation theory, frustration in self’s desire of mirroring, twinship, idealization by self object in self psychology are considered [can’t make sense of this]. Also perfectionism, moral masochism and feminism are psychodynamically related concepts with depression and affect depression’s manifestation and course. Depressive patients have some difficulties in arriving therapeutic alliance easily blame themselves others dislike themselves [sorry!]. In the therapeutic process NTR tend to develop easily. To notice and interpret counter transference and projective identification heighten therapeutic success rate.
